Project Overview

At 141,459 sq ft, Tetron in Swadlincote is a serious piece of logistics real estate and the landlord needed it back on the market quickly, in a condition that would attract a quality occupier.

The scope touched every part of the building. Inside, the offices and welfare areas were fully refurbished and redecorated, with M&E services upgraded throughout and a new passenger lift installed to bring the accommodation up to modern standards. In the warehouse, roller shutter doors and dock levellers were replaced to restore full loading capability across the unit.

At roof level, roofing works and a new Mansafe fall-arrest system were installed, making the roof safe to access and maintain for the life of the building. Decoration works throughout externally and internally gave the unit a fresh, consistent finish ready for viewings.

Chris led the project from survey to handover, coordinating roofing, lift, M&E, and fit-out contractors across a building the size of two football pitches, and keeping the client updated on cost and progress week by week.

The £740,000 scheme completed in 20 weeks: a full-scale distribution unit refurbishment delivered on programme and on budget.
